Kwietly is a simple web app that helps work-from-home parents control a LIFX color bulb as a household status light.

We collect the information needed to provide Kwietly, process your purchase, create your account, and let you use the app.

• Name
• Email address
• Account login details
• Order details
• Billing details needed for checkout
• Payment status
• LIFX access token you choose to save in your Kwietly account
• Basic technical information such as IP address, browser, device, and cookies used by WordPress, WooCommerce, security tools, or hosting systems

Kwietly does not intentionally collect children’s personal information. Kwietly is intended to be purchased and managed by a parent, guardian, or adult household member.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process your purchase, create and manage your Kwietly account, give eligible customers access to My Kwietly, save and update your LIFX token if you choose to provide one, send commands to your LIFX bulb named “Kwietly,” send transactional emails, provide support, maintain website security, and troubleshoot the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

LIFX Token and Bulb Control

To use Kwietly, you may choose to save a LIFX personal access token in your Kwietly account. Your LIFX token allows Kwietly to communicate with your LIFX account and control the LIFX color bulb named “Kwietly.”

Kwietly uses the token to check whether a bulb named “Kwietly” is available, turn the bulb red, amber, green, or off, and help the app confirm whether the bulb appears connected.

You are responsible for creating, managing, replacing, or revoking your LIFX token through your own LIFX account. Kwietly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or partnered with LIFX.

Payments

Payments are processed through Square and WooCommerce. Kwietly does not store your full credit card number on our website. Payment information is handled by Square and related payment processing services.

We may receive and store order-related details such as order number, purchase date, product purchased, payment status, customer name, email address, and billing information needed for the transaction.

Account and Order Data

When you purchase Kwietly, WordPress and WooCommerce may create an account and store order information so we can confirm your purchase, give you access to My Kwietly, provide order history and support, and manage refunds, failed payments, disputes, or legal/accounting requirements.

We retain account and order information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and support the app.

Email

Kwietly may send transactional emails related to your account or purchase, such as order confirmations, account creation emails, password reset emails, setup reminders, and support-related messages.

Kwietly intends to use Postmark for transactional email delivery once setup is complete. Email delivery providers may process information such as your email address, message content, delivery status, opens, bounces, or related technical data in order to send and manage emails.

Cookies and Login Sessions

Kwietly uses WordPress, WooCommerce, and related tools that may use cookies to keep you logged in, manage your cart and checkout, remember your session, support account access, help the site function properly, and protect the site from abuse or unauthorized access.

If you close a browser tab, you may remain logged in until your session expires or you log out. This helps Kwietly work more smoothly as a household web app.

Who We Share Information With

We share information only as needed to operate Kwietly and provide the service. This may include WordPress/WooCommerce for website, account, checkout, and order functionality; Square for payment processing; LIFX when Kwietly sends commands to the bulb connected to your LIFX account; Postmark or another email provider for transactional email delivery; website hosting, security, or maintenance providers; professional advisors; or authorities if required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, or security needs.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information. However, no website, app, internet transmission, third-party service, or connected device system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account login and LIFX token private. If you believe your Kwietly account or LIFX token has been compromised, contact us and revoke or replace your LIFX token through your LIFX account.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request help accessing, updating, or deleting your account information where possible; removing or replacing your saved LIFX token; or asking questions about your data. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, security, or legitimate business purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Kwietly is designed for use by parents, guardians, and adult household members. It is not intended for children to create accounts or submit personal information. Parents and guardians are responsible for explaining Kwietly to their household and supervising children as appropriate.

Third-Party Links and Services

Kwietly may link to or work with third-party services, including LIFX, Square, WooCommerce, WordPress, and Postmark. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. Kwietly is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Kwietly after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you accept the updated policy.
